All-Time Organic Traffic Value
Freewrite was founded with a simple mission: to help writers stay focused and unleash their creativity without distractions. Their innovative distraction-free writing tools have gained a dedicated following among authors, journalists, and creatives looking for a more immersive writing experience. However, as Freewrite’s audience grew, so did their need for a stronger online presence to reach more writers and boost sales.
Here’s how Freewrite partnered with Blnkt to refine their SEO strategy, increase organic traffic, and connect with more passionate writers worldwide.
Paid marketing is intensly competitive for eCommerce brands. Rising CPCs and CAC are forcing eCom companies like Freewrite to turn to SEO in order to grow.
Freewrite was publishing blogs, but there wasn’t any synergy between their content writing and SEO team. We found high-opportunity keywords that Freewrite already had the topical authority to rank for.
Spending all day researching and writing a blog post is not the most efficient use of time for key business operators. Using our advanced research methods, we condensed weeks of research into a few hours to write quality content.
To help Freewrite rank for high-value keywords, we needed to create the most authoritative resource on the internet.
Here’s how we did it:
Good keyword research is intent-based. To write a great article, you want to find and include all of the KWs that match the intent of your target KW. This was easy since the target KW was a simple concept, “writing prompts”.
However, the money is made in choosing KWs that have buyers-intent. For Freewrite’s audience, “writing prompts” has top of funnel intent, but it highly aligns with their target audience. People looking for writing prompts are likely to sign up for their email list and eventually become a customer.
The final piece is to write the content. We treated each section in the article as its own article. This allowed us to do separate research for each section so that they could stand alone and deliver maximum value.
As a content writer, you must constantly ask, “what’s the best way to deliver this information?”
Sometimes, the best way to explain something is through a table, a graphic, or a video.
